Welcome to the first page of this digital adventure.

We finally have a blog and here we are, excited to be taking the first steps of a long journey. And we hope that you, dear reader, will join us for a good part of the way.

This 2022 we have set out to broaden horizons through digital means.

Because yes, it’s scary, especially when you feel like everything is evolving at a dizzying pace and you don’t have enough time to understand how to make the most of all the digital tools you’ve heard you should be using.

But the digital world is also an opportunity to share, to build community, and to reach corners of the world we wouldn’t reach any other way, don’t you think?

What is this blog going to be about?

Is your business related to architecture, renovations, or the final phases of construction projects? Do you specialize in false ceilings or solving acoustic problems?

So, this blog is for you.

In it, we will address topics like those mentioned and keep you up to date on our latest projects with the intention of inspiring you so you can see our product in action.

Time for introductions: What is Woodslines?

Woodslines is a project that offers uniquely designed acoustic panels. We create, from the wood that the forest provides, a range of high-quality products with an ecological and sustainable vision for interior spaces.

The result is a balanced and aesthetic product created solely from natural wood that contributes to improving air quality and the comfort of the environment.

Acoustic panels? Ecological vision? Air quality improvement?

We know it: many questions can arise from the definition we’ve just given you. And that’s because there’s a lot to tell about our panels and the vision that accompanies them.

But first, how about we tell you how Woodslines was born?

The origins of the project

The story of Woodslines begins with the team’s experience in the world of acoustics and in the production and marketing of wood-derived products.

Our research allowed us to observe that most acoustic solutions on the market are made from synthetic materials and, therefore, harmful to the environment and human health.

  • (Did you know that synthetic materials release toxic particles into the environment that we end up inhaling?).

On the other hand, contact with architects, designers, and other clients also allowed us to detect a very specific demand. To address it, we designed a product that is simple and different at the same time, one capable of fitting into the projects of professionals committed to quality and the environment.

This concern led us, over time, to the creation of Woodslines, a project of our own that allows us to stay true to our vision and philosophy.

Product

As we were telling you, the product we offer consists of acoustic panels. Specifically, sound-absorbing panels, that is, panels that absorb sound.

What do we mean by sound-absorbing?

The specification is important because, within the world of sound, we also find materials designed to insulate. And although we will go into more detail in an upcoming article, to understand our activity it is necessary to know the difference between absorption and insulation.

For now, we can say that insulation solutions aim to prevent sound from traveling outside a space.

For example, a music bar, nightclub, or concert hall located in the city center will turn to this type of solution to reduce the sound impact of its activity and thus mitigate disturbances to neighbors.

On the other hand, sound-absorbing solutions aim to correct the percentage of sound bounce as it hits the elements of a space. Why?

Because if the materials of a room do not absorb part of the sound emitted there, we run the risk of increasing the reverberation, that unpleasant echo produced by the accumulation of sound energy and that forces us to raise our voice when having a conversation.

(You’ve surely experienced it at some point in restaurants, bars, or even in some office, but if you still don’t have a clear idea, listen to this audio. In it, you can hear the same sound with a progressive increase of the reverberation effect.)

In practice, choosing sound-absorbing materials to cover your space improves sound absorption and turns it into a place where several people can hold a conversation at the same time without producing that annoying effect.

And although in Spain there still isn’t much awareness of the importance of treating a space’s sound, various studies conclude that noise is one of the greatest sources of work-related stress.

Conversely, working in a quiet work environment increases intellectual performance and, therefore, productivity by up to 50%.

Although, if you’ll allow us to boast a little, this isn’t the only feature that makes our wood panels different from the rest.

Quality, environmentally friendly materials

environment
(The commitment to the environment is one of the most important pillars of Woodslines.
You can find more information through the following link.)

When we shaped the project, one of our decisions was to work exclusively with solid wood.

In addition to offering much higher quality, solid wood, meaning wood that comes directly from a trunk, is environmentally friendly, since it is a renewable and reusable raw material.

As proof, our timber holds PEFC and FSC certifications, which guarantee that it has been sourced from a sustainably managed forest while promoting socioeconomic development in rural areas.

And what about the absorbent material?

The sound-absorbing material we attach to our panels is Rockfon rock wool, a leading company in acoustic solutions that manufactures its products with durable and recyclable materials, such as volcanic rock.

Why does quality matter?

As we told you, the choice of our materials is based on sustainability criteria, which carry significant weight in the Woodslines culture.

And another criterion, without a doubt, is set by quality.

We live in a globalized world, where positioning yourself as a newly created business with modest means of production can be quite a challenge.

We all know thousands of examples in which international competition significantly changes the reality of the local industrial fabric. And we believe that one of the ways to defend against this is through significant added value in terms of quality.

For us, quality is a long-term strategy, accompanied by attention to the needs of the market and innovation of our products.

(For example, did you know that we are the first to integrate LED lighting into our acoustic panels?)

It’s your turn.

We’ve talked enough, it’s your turn! We’d love to hear from you. What’s your name? What do you do and where are you from?
